Kabul Koşulları YÖK’ün ilgili mevzuatı doğrultusunda ÖSYM tarafından belirlenir. Programa kayıt yaptırmak isteyen öğrencinin, ÖSYM tarafından düzenlenen sınavlarda program için öngörülen puanı alarak başarı göstermesi gerekmektedir. Yurtiçi veya yurtdışında eşdeğer programda öğrenimine başlamış bir öğrenci, üniversite tarafından kontenjan açıldığı takdirde yatay geçiş için başvuru yapabilir. Yatay geçiş için başvuran her bir öğrencinin şartları ilgili yönetmelik ve kabul koşulları dikkate alınarak değerlendirilir. Kabul Koşulları
(İngilizce)		 Admission requirements are set by OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center) according to the regulations set by YOK (Higher Education Council).Applicants are required to get the base score from National University Placement Test. Students who are registered to an equalivalent program in Turkey or abroad can apply to transfer to the program if the university allocates any quotas. The transfer applications are evaluated according to the specific conditions of the students and related regulations.
Dereceyi Alabilme Koşulları, Kuralları Öğrencinin Tıbbi Laboratuvat Teknikleri Programı’ndan önlisans derecesini alabilmesi için; a) Toplam 120 AKTS iş yükünü sağlaması, b) Her yılın ( 2 ve 4. yarıyılın ) sonunda 30 takvim günü Yaz Stajı yapması, c) Programdaki tüm dersleri başarmış olması, d) Genel not ortalamasının en az 2,00 olması gerekmektedir. (İngilizce)		 So as to get a degree, students have to meet 120 ECTS requirement, fulfill their Summer internship of 30 days , have minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 and pass all the courses listed in the program along with the attendance requirement.
Program Genel Profili Son yıllarda çok hızlı gelişen ve yenilenen sağlık hizmetleri alanında her gün kamu ve özel kuruluşlara ait tanı laboratuvarları artmaktadır. Bu programda Türkiye’de veya yurtdışındaki kamu ya da özel sağlık kurum ve kuruluşlarında tanı ve/veya araştırma laboratuvarlarında çalışabilecek, sağlık teknikerleri yetiştirmek amaçlanmaktadır. Tıbbi Laboratuvar Teknikleri Programı ön lisans düzeyinde eğitim vermektedir. Öğrencilerine Tıbbi Laboratuvar Teknikerliği mesleği ile ilgili bilgi ve beceriler, mesleki uygulamaya ilişkin mesleki etik değerlere bağlılık ve hastalarla iyi iletişim kurma gibi aktarılabilir deneyimler kazandırılır. (İngilizce)		 In the rapidly developing and innovating field of health, the number of diagnostic laboratories operating under public and private institutions has increased in the recent years . With this program it is aimed to train health care technicians who can be employed in public or private health care institutions either in Turkey or abroad. Associate degree program provides training in The Program of Medical Laboratory Techniques offers an associate level education. Students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills and experiences related to the profession such as; commitment to ethical values, constructing better communication with patients. Graduates of this program can be employed with a title of the "Medical Laboratory Technician" in health units of private and public hospitals, clinics and outpatient clinics, diagnostic center laboratories; research laboratories and other units related to health. The ones who can get the required score from KPSS (Government Employee Selection Test) are employed in public institutions.
Genel Bilgi Tıbbi Laboratuvar Teknikleri Programında (TLT), kamu ve özel sağlık kuruluşlarının rutin tanı ve araştırma laboratuvarlarında sıkça kullanılan Mikrobiyolojik, Parazitolojik, Hematolojik, Patolojik, İmmunopatolojik, Serolojik, Tıbbi Genetik, Radyoimmünolojik ve Klinik Biyokimyasal tanı yöntemleri ve bu alanlarda kullanılan cihazların çalışma ilkeleri bakım ve ölçümleri konusunda bilgi, beceri ve deneyime sahip; sorunların çözümünde kendine güvenen, hasta haklarına saygı duyan, insan ilişkilerinde empatik yaklaşımı ve yapıcı iletişimi ilke edinmiş, mesleki sorumluluğunun bilincinde eğitimli teknik eleman yetiştirilir. (İngilizce)		 Medical Laboratory Program (TLT)aims to train qualified technicians who can be employed in public and private health organizations and research laboratories, and who can operate frequently used devices in routine diagnostic microbiological, parasitological, hematological, pathologic, immunopathologic, serological, Medical Genetics, Clinical Biochemical Radioimmunology and who knows the principles of operation of these devices and make measurements regarding the field, who are equipped with skills and experience to make contemporary thinking and who can adopt solutions to problems, with self confidence, who have an empathetic approach to human relations and communication principle; and who are aware of the social and professional responsibility.
Mezunlar İçin İstihdam Olanakları Bu programı bitirenlerin çalışma alanları Kamu ve Özel Sağlık kuruluşlardaki tanı ve/veya araştırma laboratuvarlarında ve diğer yakın sağlık alanlarıdır. Programı başarıyla bitiren ve Sağlık Bakanlığının açtığı KPSS sınavını kazanan öğrenciler kamu sağlık kurumlarında özel hastanelerde, klinik ve polikliniklerde, Tanı Merkezlerine ait Laboratuvarlarında “Tıbbi Laboratuvar Teknikleri Teknikeri” unvanı ile çalışabilmektedirler. (İngilizce)		 Graduates of this program can be employed in public and private health care institutions in units of diagnosis and/or research laboratories, and other nearby areas of health care. Those who successfully complete the program an achieve the KPSS (Officer Selection Test) conducted by the Ministry of Health can work at public health institutions, private hospitals, clinics and outpatient clinics, diagnostic centers Laboratories with the title of "Medical Laboratory Technician".
Sonraki Eğitim Olanakları Tıbbi Laboratuvar” “Tıbbi Laboratuar Teknikleri” ön lisans programını bitirenler ÖSYM tarafından yapılan Dikey Geçiş Sınavında (DGS)başarılı oldukları taktirde; - Biyoloji, - Hemşirelik, - Hemşirelik ve Sağlık Hizmetleri, lisans programına dikey geçiş yapabilirler. (İngilizce)		 Upon a successful completion of the program, so as to get a bachelor’s degree, students can apply to programs of related field(s) such as; Biology, Nursing, Nursing and Health Care on condition that they get the required score from Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by OSYM. (Student Selection and Placement Center).
Mezuniyet Koşulları Programı tamamlayarak önlisans derecesini alabilmek için her yarıyıl ilgili danışmanın yönlendirmesiyle kayıt yaptırılan tüm derslerden ve staj vb. yükümlülüklerden devam koşulunun yerine getirilerek başarılı olunması gerekmektedir. Recognition of Prior Learning

Lateral or vertical transfer student admission is carried out basing on the "The Transfer Regulations for Associate and Undergraduate Degrees, Double Majors, Sub-specialties and Credit Transfer Regulations among Institutions". The prior learning of transfer students is recognized as per the relevant regulations of Council of Higher Education and under the coordination of the Adaptation Committee.

Kocaeli University guarantees in advance that all credits gained and courses received by an Erasmus student after the mobility abroad will be fully recognized and transferred into Kocaeli University system and upon arrival with the approval of the authorities and the student. While preparing the" Erasmus Credit Transfer and Grade Equivalency Table" the ECTS grades are transmitted to Kocaeli University grading system.

Turkish higher education institutions are in the start-up phase about the recognition of non-formal and informal education. However; computer and foreign language skills that students improve on their own, are evaluated through exemption examinations by the university. Students who prove to be proficient in such exams are exempted from related course(s).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Examination, assessment and grading procedure is mainly based on Kocaeli University Education and Training Regulations for Associate and Undergraduate Degrees Depending on the nature of the course various instruments such as midterms, final exams, short exams, presentations, assignments, projects, portfolios and applications may be involved in the assessment process of a semester on condition that students are informed about their weights upon registry. Contribution of these activities to final grading range between 30% -70% and So as to be eligible to take the final exam, a student has to fulfill the attendance requirement of 70% for theoretical and 80 % for practical courses. Once this requirement is fulfilled, attendance is not required again in case of a failure and retaking that course. Final grading of a course is determined on the basis of semester studies and final exam. Those with certified and officially approved excuses are also given a makeup exam.
